Magical Portals in the Canyon

The Fraser Canyon series is a nostalgic shout-out to childhood road trips through the BC mountains. The iconic Highway 1 passes through seven tunnels between the lower mainland and the interior — like a series of magical portals to vacationland! When completed, this series will feature one painting named for each tunnel and proportionately sized to match tunnel length. Mark-making and palette choices recall the frenzied joy of vacationing as a child — tanked up on anticipation and following the road with the family.
