HI, I’M PAULA

I am an Artist and certified Coach whose work explores how connection, creativity, and consciousness help us enhance the way we live in the world.  My dream is to meet like-minded people, exchange energy, and collaborate on themes of wellness, possibility, and the human capacity for change.

If you are intrigued about seeing the world differently, getting out of your comfort zone, opening up to new experience, or otherwise reconnecting with the zip of living, I have something to offer you.

MY BACKGROUND

Much of my professional life has been focused in post-secondary education, and I am currently a faculty member in the Academic Advising Centre at the University of the Fraser Valley in Abbotsford, BC. In this role, I’ve been collaborating with Fine Arts, Design, and Media students for over 15 years, helping them connect their skills and interests with educational and career goals. I have a background in Fine Arts education myself, and am a practicing professional artist. Following training in Mindfulness Based Stress Release in 2018, my creative practice has become consciously focused on exploring connections between creative process and personal wellbeing for myself and others.

Recently, I expanded my skillsets with a Certificate in Organizational Coaching through the University of British Columbia. Now an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation, I work with individuals and groups in a variety of contexts, both face to face and online.

You do not need to be a creative to coach with me, but you can expect that my creativity will shine through in our work together.

THE REAL ME

Family is my anchor and my core experience. I am married with three grown children and one grandson whom I adore. I also have a group of carefully curated women friends around me who keep me safe, strong, sane, and laughing. In addition to my professional practices of Advising, Coaching, and Painting, I also have a meditation practice, a forest bathing practice, a napping practice, a thrifting practice, a baking practice, and a gardening practice. I love zombie movies, spring flowering trees, California, and a piping hot Costco rotisserie chicken.
